Ahem...Um...Er..Well: I have been known to exceed the speed limit on occasion, even on a bike. As a matter of fact, what I usually do is walk that fine line between "aggressive" and "reckless"...But when I'm on the Savage, there are strict rules I follow:
1) If I'm on an unknown road, I travel AT or BELOW posted speed limits.
2) If it's dark, ditto #1, even on a known road.
3) If there's other traffic AT ALL, ditto #1 above 'cuz we've all had a cager look us dead in the eye and not "see" us!
But this still leaves me numerous opportunities to exercise my love of speed. Since I now live on the farm where I grew up and I know the area blindfolded. For example, there's a beautiful little winding road out here that NOBODY ever goes down - there's like one house on the whole 3 mile stretch of road and it dead-ends into other roads on both ends. So, when I feel adventurous I take the L'il Suzy (Jeff's Savage) and let my hair down. Nothing like going around a nicely banked sharp curve at 15 or 20 over the posted limit for the curve!!
But as for those idiots on crotch rockets who are reckless ALL the time, I say let natural selection do its thing. At least they won't live to propagate their kind!!
